Started for the people to connect with the world, social media especially Facebook and Instagram has failed what it has preached in the early days.
India which has the largest youth population in the world are getting negatively affected from social media which preach patriarchy, religious dogmatism, misogynistic ideas, hate towards specific group or community.
The problem is in today's youth that they are blindly following these orthodoxically ideas without questioning them and are getting affected by it.
Instead of creating dialogues and debating over them, they are incessantly consuming them. They are busy in creating memes over serious topics and situations just to get there 15 minutes of fame and some laughter from their friends.
After so many years on Indian market it's very concerning to see the illiteracy of social media among the youth, social media algorithm mostly promote controversial topics and cringe content in it's platform leading millions of youth wasting there energy and time creating these content and pleasing their "audiences".
In today's time it's very important to ask the question to yourself is that are you someone who only follow market trends to become famous, or are you more than that?
