The Facade of Indian Education System

India breeds followers rather than thinkers, most of the India’s population is concentrated in the rural areas, though everybody knows the failure of Indian education system and it’s reasons, rather through this article
I want to emphasis more into the consequences of failed education system.
Our education system promotes segregation of students in terms of subjects they choose which they want to study in high-school and in universities, rather than promoting inclusivity while most of privileged urban students with their highly educated parents are immune to this segregation but most of the students pay the price of this segregation.
Students who can do better by taking arts and humanities were force to take science why? the reason is segregation, this segregation promotes “science is better than any other subject and if you want to be successful in future hence take science”, this mentality is a manufactured myth primarily benefiting coaching institutions, while students bear the financial and academic burden, but no one questions it and no one dare to change it.
IITs and IIMs remains the lucrative destination but for whom? have you ever heard of a premier institution for philosophy ? for linguistics ? having a fancy degree doesn’t make you intelligent but having a rational mind and creating dialogue over it will.
While in the rest of the world people are becoming more inclusive especially in educational institutes and universities, creating more interdisciplinary programs offering world class research and courses India is still stuck with IITs and IIMs. If you search the fees and rankings of these IITs and IIMs you will get to know what I am talking about, with that same fees or even less which you will throw at some premier IIMs you will get admission in some world class university abroad with better courses and curriculums.
So, the questions remains unanswered for whom this IIMs and IITs are? What type of students India is producing?
In this AI age why India is still lagging behind AI race despite of having premier IITs and IIMs?
Rest of the world has developed advanced studies, their students talk about complex ideologies and create debates and dialogues over it, while most of our students of IITs and IIMs (“premier institutions”) still lack in the basic fundamentals.
It’s no brainer that why rest of the world is advancing and India is still lagging. It’s the mentality of the masses which directs the ideas of people in a country if masses are not that well educated then it’s very difficult to create such dialogues and to facilitate it, we are in dire need for better education for all which equip us with holistic understanding of the world that we live in, because without it, we will collapse and only few will get advantage of it by making money out of the aspirations of people.
